In making my pots I am not seeking to be overly innovative or wildly different. I leave the inane search for the ‘cutting edge’ to others. My concern is to develop, re-interpret, revitalise and extend a tradition that has its roots in Medieval European Fifteenth Century Korea.
The challenge for me is to find my own way along a narrow path. To seek creatively that variation and nuance that mark out my pots from the work of another.
